Review: Bao On The Block
Aldous of aldousatetheworld.com invited me again for another tasting session at the Bao on the Block, Sgt. Esguerra. Bao on the Block opened last year in December (this is a late post again) and they have already captured the heart and stomach of the people who works for ABS-CBN and people who resides the area.
We started our tasting session with Beef Siomai (Php55) and Dumplings (Php65).
We also had Bao Specials, 1 piece is for Php89 and 2 pieces is for Php159.
Bao to the King has chicken teriyaki with beansprouts.
Back to Basics has chicken with coleslaw, and picked veggies.
Bao on the Block Classic has pork, hoisin, and nuts.
Dragon Bao Z has pork, kimchi, and spring onions.
Fish Bao with You has fish, wasabi, mayo, and nori.
If you wanna try something heavy to eat, Bao on the Block rice bowl is something you can consider. Their medium bowl is only for Php149, it has veggies and chips.
You can choose from Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken Chops, Pork Hoisin, and Fish Wasabi.
What I enjoyed most with Bao on the Block food adventure is their Deep Fried Ice Cream Bao. It has a hot bao that made the dessert more interesting.
They also serve some beer, you can have some local beer or try the Tsing Tao beer from China. One of the owners said that Tsing Tao is the second popular beer in China and it complements well with Baos.
Shie Captures food review is not complete without behind the scenes or any flat lay photo.
Location: 52 Sgt. Esguerra (in front of ABS CBN), Quezon City
